How social media can make history

How social media can make history

In his TED talk, Clay Shirky exemplifies beyond doubt how social media can-and does-transform society and how we communicate. Not only can Twitter users describe their daily activities, but they can report real news. I even follow Angie Goff, Hoda Kotb, and Kevin McCarthy on my own Twitter to get the “inside scoop” on what is happening in the world and in the theater. As events happen, we can now access the news reports and rush to the rescue. At the quick tap of a button, we now hold the power to upload videos and photos of events the moment it happens. And that is a beautiful gift.
